Help / Reports

Build and review the report

Choose Generate report in the popup. The report opens in a new tab. At the top you will see a reminder to review the report against the portal before you share it. Nothing in the reminder prints.

What the report has

  • The cover. Your firm's name, who prepared the report, and a summary of the people on the file with their roles.
  • Needs attention. A short list of things to raise with your client. See What Needs attention means.
  • Each person's sections, in the portal's own wording.
  • Comments. A box for your own notes to the client. Comments stay on your computer, are saved encrypted, and are cleared when you end the session.
  • Client approval, if you chose it and the file can still be changed. See Client approval.

A file that cannot be changed

When every row on the checklist says View form, the report is a record. It asks for no review of changes and has no Client approval. See Capture a file that has already been submitted.

Before you share it

The report shows what the portal showed when you captured it. It may be incomplete or wrong. Check it against the portal, especially anything under Needs attention, and add your comments. You and your client remain responsible for what is submitted.
