1. Who we are and what this covers
SnapEE is a software product operated by yciCanada Immigration Services Ltd. (“YCI” or “YCI Canada”), or by any later operator named on this page. In these terms, we and us mean that company or operator. These terms apply to the SnapEE browser extension, the licence service behind it, and support. By clicking Agree in the extension, starting a trial or activating a licence, you accept them. Please read them with our Privacy Policy.
2. What SnapEE is, and is not
SnapEE reads the IRCC application pages you open, stores what it captures on your computer, and builds a report for your review. It can also walk through the sections of a file automatically, which you start and can stop at any time. SnapEE does not provide immigration advice, does not represent anyone, and is not connected with IRCC or any government body. SnapEE is a software tool. Using it does not create a consultant and client relationship with YCI Canada, an employer and employee relationship, or any partnership or agency between you and YCI Canada, and YCI Canada does not give advice to licence holders through SnapEE.
Reports reflect what the portal showed at the time and may be incomplete or wrong. Each report says it was prepared from your IRCC application and is not an official IRCC document, and the report screen reminds you to review it against the portal before you share it. You must review every report before you share it. You and your client remain responsible for what is submitted and for any decision made from a report.
3. IRCC portals
SnapEE is an independent tool. You are responsible for following the terms of each IRCC portal you use it on, for choosing to use the automatic walk, and for how you use SnapEE on each portal. We cannot promise that IRCC will permit any tool, or that portal changes will not break SnapEE. If IRCC or a portal tells you to stop using a tool like SnapEE, stop using it and let us know.
4. Your clients’ information
SnapEE stores captured information in your browser, on your computer, in encrypted form. We do not receive it and do not keep a copy, so we cannot recover it if you remove the extension or clear your browser data. You are responsible for protecting your computer, for having your clients’ consent or other lawful authority to capture and handle their information, and for how you use it. Please do not send client information to support.
5. Licences
There is one licence per representative, and it is personal. It is tied to your name and registration number and cannot be shared, transferred or resold. A licence is for the person named on it, using the registration number they gave us. Any licence we issue, whatever it costs, follows these terms and ends on its end date.
When you sign up, you confirm that the name and registration number you give are yours and that you are entitled to use them. We do not verify them with your regulator, and you are responsible for keeping them correct. Reports print your name, registration number, company and contact email from your licence and settings. We may check your details at any time, and we may suspend or end a licence if they are false or misleading (see section 10). We email your licence key to the address you give us.
A licence covers the number of browsers shown for your plan on our pricing page. Releasing a browser frees one place, which you can do with Release this computer in the extension or by asking us. Removing the extension does not release it.
Firms can group their members’ licences and lock settings such as company name, colour, email and logo. A firm plan covers the number of representatives we agree with the firm in writing, and each representative in the firm has their own personal licence.
Keep your licence key private, and contact us if it is lost or exposed.
6. Free trial
You get one 30 day trial with all features. It is one per person. We limit trials by email address and by registration number, so the same email address or the same registration number cannot take a second trial. We may issue trials automatically, and we may hold, decline or end a trial that looks like an attempt to avoid paying. The 30 days start at first activation. When the trial ends, capture and report generation stop, and the data already stored on your computer stays there.
7. Price, payment and renewal
Licences are annual only, with no monthly plan. The price is the one shown on our pricing page when you pay, in Canadian dollars, plus applicable taxes. Taxes are calculated at checkout from your location.
You buy a licence from inside the SnapEE extension, and the payment is applied to the licence you bought from. Card payments are taken by Stripe on its secure checkout page, and we do not see or store full card numbers. Firms can ask us for an invoice and pay by Interac e-Transfer or another method shown on the invoice. We can give you an invoice or receipt for any payment on request.
An annual licence renews automatically each year, and your card is charged on the renewal date, until you cancel. The renewal price is the price you first paid, for as long as your licence keeps renewing without a break. If a licence ends and you buy again later, the price shown at that time applies. A price change for new purchases does not affect a licence that is already renewing.
You can cancel at any time by writing to support@snapee.ca. Your licence then runs until its end date and does not renew. A discount code reduces the first payment only, unless the code says otherwise.
8. Refunds
If SnapEE does not work as described, contact support. We will have up to 14 days from your report to fix it, or up to 45 days where the cause is a change to an IRCC portal that we are working on. If we cannot restore it, we will refund the unused full months of your annual licence, based on the amount you actually paid. We will also refund a duplicate or mistaken charge. We may refund more at our discretion. Refunds are not due for a change of mind, or where we suspend or end a licence under section 10. If you cancel, no refund is due for the current period, and your licence keeps working until it ends.
9. Licence checks
The extension checks your licence when you use it, at most about once a day. If it cannot reach our service, it keeps working for up to 7 days after the last successful check, then pauses capture, automatic walks and reports until it can check again. An annual licence keeps working for 7 days after it ends, with a warning, then pauses. A trial stops when it ends. A suspension takes effect at the next successful check. Data already on your computer stays there.
10. Suspension, replacement keys and ending
We may suspend or end a licence if we reasonably believe it is being misused. That includes sharing or selling a key, giving false or misleading information to get or keep a licence, including a name or registration number that is not yours, fraud, pretending to be YCI Canada or SnapEE, reverse engineering or tampering with the software or licence service, abusing the trial, breaching these terms, or where you are no longer eligible for a licence. We will tell you why where we can. If we suspend a licence in error, we will reinstate it and make it right, which may include extending it. No refund is due when we suspend or end a licence for these reasons.
We can issue a replacement key if yours is lost or exposed. You can stop using SnapEE at any time by removing the extension. Information we hold is handled under our Privacy Policy.
11. Acceptable use
Do not share your key, use a name or registration number that is not yours, work around the browser limit or the one trial rule, copy or reverse engineer SnapEE, resell it, use it on a file you are not authorised to work on, or use it to break the law or a portal’s rules.
12. A new product
SnapEE is a new product. Features, supported portals and forms, pricing and availability may change. We may add support for other IRCC portals and forms, and adding one is not a change to these terms. We will give reasonable notice of changes that materially affect you.
13. No warranties
To the extent the law permits, SnapEE is provided as is, and we do not promise it will be error free, uninterrupted, or suitable for your practice.
14. Limit of liability
To the extent the law permits, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost time or income, missed deadlines, or refused or delayed applications. Our total liability to you for all claims together is limited to the greater of the amount you paid for your licence in the 12 months before the claim and CAD $50. This applies whether the claim is in contract, negligence or any other theory. Nothing here limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited.
15. Changes, law and contact
We may update these terms and will post the new date. If a change is material, you will be asked to agree again in the extension. A transfer under the next paragraph is not a change to these terms. These terms are governed by the laws of Alberta, and Alberta’s courts have jurisdiction. Contact the Privacy Officer, SnapEE, or support at support@snapee.ca, or write to PO Box 70041 RPO Creekside, Airdrie, AB T4B 0V9.
Successors. We may transfer these terms, your licence and our rights and duties under them to an affiliate or to another person who takes over SnapEE or our business. You agree to this in advance. The new operator takes our place on these same terms, and we are released from duties that arise after the transfer. We will update this page to name the new operator and tell licence holders. You may not transfer your licence or these terms.
