Help / Reports
Client approval and the reference code
SnapEE prints the approval section on the report. It does not collect, verify or store approvals, and it does not send or receive emails. Your client signs the printed or saved copy, or replies to your own email, and you keep the result with your file.
Above the report, the Client approval menu has four choices.
- None. No approval block is printed.
- E-signature (the menu's name for signature lines). The report ends with a signature and date line for each person. It is not an electronic signing service. Each adult approves their own information. A parent or guardian does this for a child.
- Email reply. The report asks the client to reply to your email with the approval phrase: "I approve this for submission to IRCC".
- Both. The client can do either.
Files that cannot be changed
When every row on the file's checklist says View form, nothing can be changed, so SnapEE does not show this menu and prints no approval block, even if you chose one for an earlier file. See Capture a file that has already been submitted.
The reference code
Every report carries a reference such as MC4Z-JVR3-5T6G. It is made from what was captured, so a report built from different captured data has a different reference. The page footer shows it on every page, and the report shows it again at the approval block.
Above the report, you will also see a subject line for your email, such as "Application review, Ref MC4Z-JVR3-5T6G", with a Copy button. Use it so that the client's reply points back to this report.
