Help / Privacy and limits
Known limits
SnapEE is a new product. These are the limits we know about.
Dependent children
SnapEE reads every person listed on a file's checklist, including dependent children added after an invitation to apply. We have not been able to test reports for dependent children, because those forms are only available once a real invitation is issued. Check a child's sections carefully against the portal. A child's role is printed exactly as the portal writes it.
Cities shown as codes
Some portal fields show a code instead of a city name. SnapEE shows what the portal shows. It turns a code into a name when the portal page itself lists the matching options. IRCC does not publish a table of city codes, so where a city appears as a code, it stays a code.
Forms it does not read
SnapEE reads seven kinds of form: personal details, contact details, study and languages, application details, representative, work history and personal history. A form with another name is listed in the report as not captured.
Where it works
SnapEE works on the application pages of IRCC's secure application site, at onlineservices-servicesenligne.cic.gc.ca, in a Chromium-based browser such as Chrome or Edge. It has been tested on the English portal. It does not read other IRCC portals yet, and Firefox and Safari are not supported.
Submitted files
The checklist page of a submitted file is reached at an address that IRCC does not link or describe. It may change, and SnapEE has no way to know. See Capture a file that has already been submitted.
Uploaded documents
SnapEE does not read uploaded documents or PDFs. It reads the application pages only.
The report
The report shows what the portal showed when you captured it. Check it against the portal before you share it.
