Why Auto-walk is slow on some sections
Auto-walk opens each section of your client's file in your tab and reads it. A section that is complete takes about 2 seconds. A section that looks unfinished takes longer, on purpose.
What SnapEE is waiting for
SnapEE cannot tell a section that is still loading from a section that still needs to be completed in the portal. So when a section looks unfinished, it gives the portal time to catch up.
- It waits about 15 seconds the first time.
- After it has been through the rest of the file, it goes back to that section and waits about 25 seconds.
- If the section still looks unfinished, it goes back once more and waits about 25 seconds again.
One unfinished section can therefore add about a minute. The wait always ends, and the walk then moves on. That is deliberate, so a half-loaded section is not mistaken for a finished one.
When a section looks unfinished
- A Yes with no entries. The portal says Yes to "Does your client have any work history?", but no job has been added. The same applies to education, and to a passport or ID document.
- A table that has not loaded. A table on the page is still loading, or some of its rows could not be read.
- An answer SnapEE could not read. A multiple-choice question did not show a value.
An example
Casey's file has nine sections. Eight are complete, and each takes about 2 seconds. In Work History, the portal says Yes to "Does Casey have any work history?" but no job has been added yet. SnapEE waits, goes back to that section twice, and finishes about a minute later than it otherwise would. Work History is then marked "may be incomplete", and the report lists it under Needs attention, so it can be completed in the portal.
What you can do
- Let it finish. The wait is limited, so it always ends.
- Stop and carry on yourself. Choose Stop. What was captured so far is kept, and you can open the remaining sections yourself.
- Complete the section in the portal. Once the entries exist, the same section takes about 2 seconds.
- Check a section you believe is complete. Open it yourself and wait for it to load fully. If SnapEE still flags it, contact support.
Empty tables that are fine
A table can legitimately have no entries. If a table is empty and the answers do not say it should have any, SnapEE takes one extra look and does not flag it.
